"According to our sources, the private jet of Chowdarys' has gone missing. The jet was en route from Hyderabad to London when it lost contact with air traffic control last night.
The private jet departed from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport in Hyderabad at approximately 10:00 PM IST on May 31, 2024. It was expected to land at London Heathrow Airport at around 5:00 AM BST. However, the jet vanished from radar screens roughly three hours into the flight, somewhere over the Arabian Sea.
India's Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and the UK's Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) have launched an extensive search and rescue operation. The Indian Navy and Coast Guard and aerial assets from both nations have been deployed to the presumed location of the jet's last known coordinates. Despite a thorough overnight search, there have been no signs of debris or any distress signals from the aircraft.
The jet was carrying 18 people including two pilots and 3 staff members. The passengers on board were, Mr. Raghav Chowday, his wife, Mrs. Pallavi Chowdary, his son, The CEO of Chowdary Group of Hotels and Resorts, Mr. Akash Chowdary, daughter-in-law, Mrs. Bindu Chowdary, a renowned corporate lawyer, his sister, Mrs. Sita Chowdary along with her husband Mr. Raghu Ram, a renowned industrialist, CEO of Sita Industries and their son, Mr. Hithen, the COO of Sita Industries, along with the Rajvanshi family. Mr. Devansh Rajvanshi is the CEO of Ranjvashi Groups and his wife Mrs. Ishika Rajvansh is the daughter of famous industrialist Mr. Sameer Baradwaj. The family was going on a trip to London to celebrate the wedding anniversary of Mr and Mrs. Raghav Chowdary when the incident happened.
DGCA spokesperson Anjali Sharma stated, "We are working closely with the CAA and other agencies to locate the missing aircraft. Our thoughts are with the families during this difficult time." The family has not yet released an official statement, but a family representative expressed their gratitude for the ongoing search efforts and requested privacy. We also came to know that the King of Rajasthan and the son-in-law of Chowdarys', Mr. Daksh Singh Chauhan is closely monitoring the situation along with the officials and he reached Kerala this morning.
Aviation experts are baffled by the sudden disappearance of the jet. Weather conditions were reported to be clear at the time of the incident, and the pilots made no distress calls. Authorities are not ruling out any possibilities, including technical failure or foul play.
Given the family's high profile and significant influence, the disappearance has sent shockwaves through the business community and the general public. Social media is abuzz with speculation, and many are drawing parallels to other mysterious aviation incidents in recent history.
The search and rescue operation is expected to intensify throughout the day, with additional resources being mobilized. The DGCA and CAA will be conducting a thorough investigation into the jet's maintenance history and the pilot's background. Updates will be provided as new information becomes available.
For now, the world watches and hopes for a positive outcome in the search for the Chowdary family's missing jet."
The news was playing on the TV while the Chauhans were pacing in their living room getting worried about their family. They are most concerned about their Daughter-in-law who is yet to wake up.
Chaitra received a call at 2 a.m. informing her about the missing jet but Daksh was the one who answered the call as Chaitra was a heavy sleeper. He informed his brothers and reached Kerala to monitor the situation closely, requesting his brothers to make sure to keep Chaitra away from the matter as long as possible.
"How can we hide it from Bhabi Maa when it is the only news being telecasted on every fucking channel?" Ronak groaned pulling his hair. He looked at Chaitra's phone lying on the table in front of him and it was another message asking her to be strong.
"How can we stop Bhabi Maa from using her phone? She's receiving messages every minute," Akansha asked with tears in her eyes. She knows how sensitive her Bhabi Maa is when the matter is related to her family and here, her entire family is missing and no one knows if they were alive or not. Will she be able to cope with the news? The thought itself made her shudder in fear.
Abhi who was sitting silently until now got up from his place and smacked Chaitra's phone to ground breaking it into pieces making the family gasp at him. He moved to the TV and removed the connection wires before the family came out of the shock. He then disconnected the wifi router to stop his Bhabi Maa's access to the internet in case she used her laptop or iPad.
She has been crying since yesterday as she was feeling restless. She demanded Daksh to come back from his office and even requested her family not to go on a trip. But she had to give up eventually as Vivaan was weeping about the trip. She slept late at night after Daksh assured her everything was going to be alright. Only if they listened to her and followed her request to stay home, they wouldn't be facing this now.
"Abhi, what are you doing?" Surekha asked her son, who was roaming around removing every TV connection and router.
"Protecting Bhabi Maa from an evident heartbreak until our Bhai sa comes back with her family," He replied not looking back as he walked to Daksh's chamber and removed the cable wire from the TV. He looked at his Bhabi Maa sleeping peacefully hugging his brother's pillow and a tear dropped from his eye which he wiped immediately and carried on with his work.
Chaitra woke up from her slumber and frowned not finding Dakhs beside her. That weird feeling surfaced again and she ran out of her room in a hurry hoping to find her husband in his study. She ran down the stairs on finding the study empty.
The family members whipped their heads towards her when they saw her running down the stairs while the youngsters tried to fake smile at her to make her believe everything was alright.
"Rakshith, where is Daksh?" she asked her brother-in-law who was standing beside the stairs with his hands fisted inside his pockets as he tried to act normal in front of her.
"Bhai went on an important work, Bhabi Maa. He will return by evening and yes he said your phone broke by mistake. He said he will get you a new one when coming back," He informed in one go without meeting her gaze. Chaitra frowned at the serious look of her chill devar and her fear only increased seeing the family sitting silently.
"Why didn't he inform me about his trip?" Chaitra frowned as tears started swirling in her eyes.
"Arey beta, you were sleeping at that time and he didn't want to disturb your sleep. He will come back by evening. No need to worry," Janaki hugged her from the side, with a hand around her neck rubbing her shoulder.
"I don't know Chachi. I have this weird feeling since yesterday like something terrible is going to happen," Chaitra confessed with tears spilling from her eyes, and that made the Chauhans more worried. If this is her situation before knowing anything, they fear her response after she gets to know the truth.
"It's okay Chaithu. You are just stressed about the things happening with us lately. That's why you are getting those weird feelings. Nothing is going to go wrong," Rohan wrapped her in a hug from the other side and placed a gentle kiss on her temple making her nod.
"I want to call Annayya. Can I use your phone?" She asked Rohan whose eyes widened in shock and fear hearing her words. How will they handle her now? She will get suspicious if they won't let her and she will get worried when the call goes unanswered. Akshaya quickly texted Daksh about the situation and Ronak's phone rang with Daksh's number making them sigh in relief.
"Bbabi maa, Bhai sa is calling. Do you want to talk to him?" Chaitra nodded enthusiastically with a smile. She grabbed the phone from Ronak and answered the call.
"Jaan, you are up?" Daksh asked controlling his emotions, not wanting his Jaan to feel the emotional turmoil he was facing right now. He knew how important her family was for her and he felt helpless for not being able to find them and for hiding this from her.
"Why did you leave me alone on the bed?" Chaitra asked with a pout making Daksh chuckle in tears making her smile in reply. He talked to her for a while and told her that her brothers just landed and called him as her phone was switched off. He also asked her not to disturb them for a while saying they must be tired. Chaitra agreed reluctantly.
The Chauhans couldn't hide it from her for more than two days as Chaitra overheard Abhi's conversation with Daksh over the call. Abhi told her everything when she threatened him saying she wouldn't eat anything until he told her everything and Abhi finally gave in after a complete day and told her everything.
Chaitra collapsed knowing about her family and they had to admit her to the hospital. Daksh came back to be with his wife and she got discharged after an entire week. The government stopped the search operation after being unsuccessful for 8 days leaving the case unsolved.
